ECOLOGICAL SITES
Ecological sites are one of forms of nature protection in our country. Ecological sites include remains of ecosystems, that deserve preserving (www), and which are important to sustain biological diversity.
Ecological sites include: natural water bodies, ornamental water ponds, clumps of trees and bushes, swamps, mires, dunes, oxbow lakes, scarps, natural habitats, habitats of rare or protected plant, animals and mushroom species.
Within the area of the Forest District Nowa Sól, there are 4 ecological sites, namely:
- „ Przylaski Mire (Torfowisko Przylaski )" with the area of 5,44 ha,
- „Poligon" with the area of 6,28 ha,
- „Kosaciec" with the area f 5,23 ha,
- „Michał Wetland (Bagno Michała)" with the area of 7,35 ha.
In the area of ecological site, the following things are forbidden:
- Destroying, damaging or transforming the object.
- Conducting soli works, which can permanently change and deform the land sculpture, except for objects connected with flood protection.
- Damaging and destroying soil.
- Throwing out, digging and pouring out wastes or any other rubbish.
- Littering the object and the whole area around it.
- Making changes in the water hydrographic conditions, if only they serve any other purposes than nature preservation, balanced usage of agricultural lands and forest grounds and fishing.
- Pouring out (fermented) liquid manure.
